- A legend was born -

This is where it all began. On December 3, 2006, I was born. At that time, I had no knowledge of music—who could have imagined where I’d end up? In this journey, I’ll take you through the beginnings of my music career, from my first DAWs to collaborations and beyond.

2015

- How it started -

Everything began in 5th grade, around 2016, when I was first introduced to EDM. The first songs I encountered were likely Animals by Martin Garrix and Faded by Alan Walker, who were my idols at the time. It was also during this period that I discovered Ableton, though I quickly switched to FL Studio. I clearly remember installing FL Studio for the first time—I had no idea what I was doing. I followed some YouTube tutorials and tried to create my first melody using FL Keys. Looking back on it now, it’s quite amusing! But I didn’t give up. I kept pushing forward.

2019

- First studio session -

In the years leading up to 2019, I continued learning and improving my production skills. During this time, I shifted my focus towards making beats, as I found it easier and more intuitive than creating full EDM tracks. In 2019, a breakthrough came when I was noticed by a well-known Slovenian rapper, Trkaj. I had the opportunity to produce a beat for him, which was an exciting step in my journey.

Alongside Damjan Jović, we recorded the vocals in his studio, which was a valuable learning experience. This collaboration taught me a lot about the process of working with artists, arranging music for vocals, and getting a track to sound just right. The whole experience was a huge milestone for me—it was a great time for learning and growing as a producer, and it opened my eyes to the possibilities of music beyond my own initial projects.

2020 - 2022

- New start, "DeNitro", OFFLINE Festival -

After that, I took a break for most of the year, as I felt a bit lost and uninspired. I realized I needed some time away from music to refocus. But by late 2020, I felt a renewed sense of passion. I decided to dive back into producing EDM, but this time with a clearer goal in mind. I told myself that I would make it. I created my DJ name, "DeNitro," and set the wheels in motion. For the next two years, from 2020 to 2022, I practiced every day, pushing myself to improve and refine my sound.

In the middle of 2022, I had an unforgettable experience: I attended the OFFLINE music festival, where I had the opportunity to meet some of my idols, including Mike Williams, Mesto, and Julian Jordan. Meeting them in person and experiencing their music live completely shifted my perspective on music production. Their energy, talent, and the crowd’s response inspired me to take my music to new heights. I knew I wanted to produce not just for myself, but for others to experience live as well.

Late 2022

- Building my home studio -

As I continued to grow, I decided to take the next step in my production journey—setting up my first home studio. This was a huge milestone for me. I bought my first pair of studio monitors, the KRK 5s, using the money I earned from a summer job. It was a big investment, but one I was more than willing to make. I knew I needed the right tools to do what I loved, and this was the beginning of building a space where I could fully immerse myself in music. I literally did everything I could to make it happen, from researching the best equipment to setting up the studio myself. It was a lot of hard work, but every moment was worth it because I was doing what I truly loved.

June - November 2023

- Signing my first song to a record label -

With my equipment set up and my skills honed, I knew what I was doing—but I still needed the right track to get noticed and signed by a label. During the summer of 2023, I created a track called True Love. I shared a snippet of it on Instagram, and to my surprise, I received incredible support from my idol TAIGA, who commented that the song sounded really nice. That was a huge moment for me.

Before I go further, I have to mention that I had been in contact with Qaden James, a well-known and talented future bounce producer. I shared my track with him, and he liked it so much that he promised to play it in his Futurized Mix. I’m incredibly thankful for that, so big shoutout to him. But little did I know, something even bigger was about to happen.

For as long as I could remember, I had dreamed of getting signed to Futurized Records, the label where many of my biggest idols had released their music, including SIIK, Jay Eskar, and of course, TAIGA himself. I thought it was an impossible goal, but I decided to give it a shot. After my track was featured in Qaden James’ Futurized Mix, I sent it over to the label, never imagining that they would actually accept it. To my shock and excitement, they loved it and signed "True Love". That moment was a turning point in my career—it was, without a doubt, the best day of my life and the beginning of my journey as a professional artist.

On October 27, 2023, True Love was officially released, and the response was overwhelming. From that day forward, I received incredible attention and support, which only fueled my passion to keep pushing forward.

Early 2024

- Incredible ongoing support, new friendships, and my song getting played in a club for the first time -

Another miracle happened… There was this incredibly supportive YouTube channel called Illumi Music, which was notoriously difficult to get featured on. They have over 600k subscribers, so having a track uploaded on their platform was a huge opportunity. After True Love gained some traction, they discovered my track and decided to feature it on their channel. This exposure brought even more attention and new fans, and I was beyond grateful for the support.

Around the same time, I had the privilege of connecting with several well-known producers, but there’s one individual I must mention: a talented Slovenian producer named CHESHO. We became friends at the beginning of 2024. CHESHO loved True Love so much that he invited me to perform it with him at Klub Medvode. When we played it, the crowd was absolutely vibing, and I was left speechless by the energy. In that moment, I realized how far I had come, and I told myself, "I need to keep going. Look at where I’ve gotten."

March - April 2024

- More music? Professional branding. -

After all the attention I received, I started connecting with even more producers, one of whom was Daevo, who has since become a great friend of mine. Together, we decided to remix the classic hit Domino by Jessie J, and to our surprise, the remix absolutely BLEW up. To this day, it has gathered over 20,000 streams on SoundCloud, thousands of likes, and has even been played by DJs in clubs. Seeing our remix resonate with so many people was an incredible feeling and further motivated me to keep going.

When I said, "I need to keep going," I meant that I needed to create more new music while also focusing on my professional image. I knew that to stand out in the industry, I had to establish a recognizable brand. That’s why, in April 2024, I did my first professional press shoot, which resulted in incredible photos that helped solidify my DJ identity as DeNitro. Having strong visuals alongside my music has made it easier for people to recognize me and has played a crucial role in building my presence in the music scene.

May 2024

- Expanding my musical knowledge through guitar and signing a new track to a label -

In May 2024, I decided to take my music production to the next level by learning how to play the guitar. I realized that understanding a live instrument would not only enrich my creativity but also make the process of composing melodies, chords, and songwriting much more intuitive. So, I invested in a guitar and started practicing.

This decision quickly proved valuable. I was able to create unique and inspiring tunes on the guitar, which I incorporated into several of my songs. Adding live instrumentation to my production process gave my tracks a more organic and emotional depth, bridging the gap between electronic and acoustic elements.

During this time, I also released a follow-up track to True Love called This Is Love. The track was signed to Futurized Records, marking another milestone in my journey as an artist. Releasing two back-to-back tracks with Futurized Records solidified my presence in the industry and further showcased my growth as a producer.

Learning guitar and creating This Is Love represented a period of artistic evolution, where I pushed my boundaries and elevated my music to new heights.

July 2024 - 2025 - now

- Collaborations, music releases, and what's next? -

After releasing three singles, including Broken Parts of Me in August, I decided to take a new approach by exploring collaborations. My first collaboration was with the talented producer Paulø from the US on a track called Beautiful Liar, which was released in October on Futurized Records. Shortly after, I teamed up with the gifted UK producer JARIN to create You Don’t Know. These collaborations not only allowed me to expand my musical horizons but also introduced me to incredible artists and lifelong friends. The process was inspiring, fun, and a significant step forward in my journey.

To wrap up an amazing year, in December 2024, I released an EP featuring all of my previous singles. This release was a way for me to reflect on and celebrate the growth and milestones I achieved throughout the year. It was a proud moment and the perfect way to end 2024 on a high note.

Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, I’ve made the decision to challenge myself further by exploring new genres. While I will always stay true to my roots in future bounce, I plan to expand my sound by diving into bass house and other genres. This evolution is part of my commitment to pushing boundaries, growing as an artist, and keeping my music fresh and innovative.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way. To my fans, thank you for believing in me. To my family and friends, thank you for standing by me, even during the tough times. Your unwavering support means the world to me, and I’m excited to share what’s coming next.

Let’s keep moving forward together. The journey has only just begun.

Nothing here anymore... for now?
